Johnson Daylight Natural 60 Window Film, all three windows with DN60 applied, www.devonwindowtinting.co.uk
Our latest project in Teignmouth was an installation of Johnson Daylight Natural 60 window film to some patio doors. Initially the aim was to increase privacy and block UV rays but with a light room this is difficult to achieve unless you make all the window considerably darker and our customer wanted to maintain the light levels.
The benefit of a neutral window film like the DN60 is it is virtually invisible once applied with its 63% light transmission, it still provides 30% total solar energy rejection, 29% glare reduction along with 99% uv protection. Glass has a natural reflectance of around 8%, Daylight Natural 60 has 11% exterior and 9% interior reflectance, this low figure means that it doesn’t cause mirroring in the day or at night. Most window films have a reflectance of 25-60%, the higher percentage causing mirroring with 60% looking like a bathroom mirror.
With the slight reduction in heat and light as well as the uv protection this film will help reduce fading.
Daylight Natural Benefits
Here are a few pictures of the Johnson Daylight Natural 60 being installed, any window films around the 60% to 70% range are virtually invisible but offer an increase in fade protection by rejecting some heat and light whilst blocking 99% of the harmful UV rays.
