5 Mil White Matte Safety Film
After a health and safety check this factory in Newton Abbot required a safety film to upgrade the existing glass to BS EN 12600.
Our 5 Mil White Matte safety film has been tested to BS EN 12600 Class 2B2 which superseded BS 6206 Class B. This certification means that our safety film can be used to meet The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 Regulation 14 criteria.
Regulation 14 relates to risks posed by glazing to persons in the workplace and states that:
Every window or other transparent or translucent surface in a wall or partition, and every transparent or translucent surface in a door or gate shall, where necessary for reasons of health or safety:
If your existing glazing doesn’t comply with the regulation you have several options:
Whilst it is important to make your glazing safe it also worth considering making your glazing visible so people are aware of its presence. Hanita 5 Mil White Matte has a translucent sand-blasted effect which when added to your existing glazing makes it visible, adds privacy and increases safety.
Our safety films are suitable for The Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 Regulation 14, Retrospective planning issues, homes and workplaces.
