Our latest project was a large install of privacy film for Mulberry House Residential Home in Bovey Tracey for Buckland Care.
Following an extensive refurbishment and after a Care Quality Commission recommendation to increase privacy for the residents, we installed Solargard Solar Bronze 20 window film to a number of windows. With 39% exterior reflection our Solargard Solar Bronze 20 window film will provide high privacy for the occupants and also reduce the solar energy, glare and uv.
Several windows in the original building were single glazed with a safety film added to prevent injury if someone should fall against one of the windows. These also required a reflective film to increase privacy, rather than install two films we used Armorcoat (solargard) 4 Mil Safety Silver 20. This window film is unique as it combines a normal Silver 20 reflective film with a 4 Mil safety film to meet BS EN 12600 2B2 (The Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare Approved Code of Practice Regulation 14). As always with the Silver 20 window films full daytime privacy is guaranteed with 59% exterior reflectance.
One of the shower rooms had a window which wasn’t obscured and this would have compromised the residents privacy. Our Hanita Matte 2 Mil frosted film provides full privacy with its translucent sandblasted effect.
Here are a few pictures of the completed window film install prior to the grand re-opening of Mulberry House.
