Stairway Glazing Safety Film
Today we installed clear and frost safety film to a school in Stokeinteignhead.
After a health and safety audit several areas of glass panelling were a cause for concern. A clear glass panel in front of a window had the potential to cause a problem with children walking into it. Also there were two glass panels alongside a stairway with no kitemarks which were a hazard.
Our Clear 4 Mil and Matte 5 Mil safety film meet BS6206 specifications and provide a cost effect way of upgrading existing glazing without disruption.
With the Matte 5 Mil safety film installed the glass panel in front of the window is now clearly visible as well as meeting BS6206 in terms of safety due to this window also having no kitemark. We also installed a Clear 4 Mil safety film to the top section of the window to retain some extra visibility. The glass panels alongside the stairway were fitted with Matte 5 Mil safety film which provides a nice sand blasted etched effect as well as meeting BS6206 safety standards for glass.
