UV Fade Protection Tavistock
Our latest anti fading window film installation for a customer in Tavistock, Devon.
This sun room with a glass lantern roof was allowing high amounts of uv rays into the room which were damaging the furnishings.
To reduce uv fading there are several options. Either a clear uv filter film which blocks 99.8% uv. A lightly tinted almost clear film which will block 99% uv and also help with the fading from heat and light. You can also have a dark window film installed which will provide 99% uv block and significantly reduce the heat and light fading. Normally a choice between a clear or almost clear film is the best option as most customers aren’t willing to sacrifice the light and make the room much darker.
In this sun room we installed AV Spectral 70 which is a spectrally selective multi alloy solar control film. Designed to be selective in the solar light spectrum offering a compromise between high solar gain rejection with a higher light transmission.
